Delinquent Tax Payments Now Accepted Online
If a property owner does not pay his/her property taxes for a current year by the last Monday of August, the taxes are sold through an auction by the Tax Collector.
The owner of the property can redeem the delinquent taxes through the Chancery Clerks Land Redemption Department within two years of the date of the tax sale. If the property owner does not redeem the delinquent taxes, the taxes mature to the purchaser and a tax deed may be issued.
You may now pay delinquent taxes online with a credit card by clicking the red "Pay Delinquent Taxes" button on the top right of every page on the website, or by going to
https://landrecords.co.harrison.ms.us/DuProcessLandRedemption/index.html?.
***Please note that there is a 2.5% non-refundable credit card service fee collected at the time of payment.A confirmation email will be sent once the transaction is completed and a delinquent tax sale receipt will be mailed to the address on file. If you have not received your receipt within 14 days, please contact the Chancery Clerks office at 228-865-4033.
